Although Riga City Centre has been in high demand for real estate buyers for years, a new trend was observed in 2022 \u2013 more and more residents of the capital are looking for accommodation outside the bustling and relentless traffic of Riga Centre, bright lantern lights and human bearings. Based on research carried out by Latvia Sotheby’s International Realty, 36.3 million euros were invested in the picturesque districts of Pieriga in 2021, while 60.9 million euros were invested in 2022. Changes in the interests and behaviour of property buyers are undoubtedly a sign of people’s hunger for housing in a peaceful and eco-clean place where the noise of the city is replaced by the sound of wind and the chirping of birds. Interestingly, the real estate market is currently experiencing increased demand not only in Pieriga, but also well beyond the capital \u2013 surrounded by landscaped forests, flourishing meadows and clear water bodies, where the worries of the past day have been forgotten and only a person and a natural landscape exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latvia Sotheby’s International Realty sales specialist Dace S\u012ble talks about the growing interest of buyers in unique properties in a landscape environment: <\/strong>\u201cWorking with properties outside Riga for several years, I have observed that exclusive dwellings in rural areas of Latvia embody a truly unique and unique atmosphere. The owners of the grand buildings have drawn attention to genuinely essential nuances, such as interior design, functionality, or a layout of spaces to match the wishes of the building’s residents as much as possible. One important advantage is the property-specific sense of detachment that specifically addressed one of my U.S. clients. Having built a rather stressful and busy professional career for years, the man decided he wanted to escape the relentless corporate world environment, so he embarked on active field solo searches in nature-surrounded areas of northern Europe where there is no sign of the city’s sounds. The customer’s craving for isolation and charming views of nature was addressed by a property 10 kilometres from Rezekne, which provided the owner with a quiet and undisturbed life alongside a picturesque lake.’<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rural properties are not only attracted to customers who are no longer fascinated by the capital’s dynamics. Dace S\u012ble says foreigners often see rural properties as a great place to do business too.
