On May 7, at BluOr Bank, the final event of the visual arts competition “Urban Development of Riga, the Quiet Center, Heart of Hanza took place, celebrating the outstanding works of students from the Janis Rozentāls Art School.

“We are pleased with this kind of partnership, which gives young people the opportunity to be bold and showcase their talent to a wider audience. It is important to support young people’s ideas and visions, fostering their creative and professional growth, as well as confidence in their abilities,” noted Dmitrijs Latiševs, Chairman of the Board of BluOr Bank.

This initiative was implemented by LNK Properties in cooperation with BluOr Bank and Latvia Sotheby’s International Realty, inviting young artists to express their vision of Riga’s cultural diversity and urban development, with a special focus on the new Heart of Hanza project. The main theme of the competition was the Quiet Center – an area where Riga’s historical heritage coexists with contemporary dynamics. The artworks reflect the city’s identity, daily rhythm, and human interaction with the environment.

“We believe these young talents are the artists of the future who will shape Latvia’s visual identity and inspire society. Their works already reveal a great desire to express and create, and we are proud to be part of the beginning of their journey,” emphasized Aleksandra Strode, Member of the Board at LNK Properties.

Out of 35 submissions, the grand prize was awarded to Patrīcija Žaimunde for her strong visual language and technically outstanding execution. Second place went to Grieta Bramane, and third to Amidaila Freimane. Encouragement prizes were awarded to Anna Ābele and Violeta Zariņa. All participants were formally congratulated and received awards from the competition organizers.

Each work is a promise for the future – of yet undiscovered talents and the power of art to connect people and spaces,” added Līga Kohtanena, representative of Latvia Sotheby’s International Realty.

The winning artworks will soon be on display in LNK Properties business centers and the Renaissance residential complex.
