In the historical center of Riga, at Blaumana Street 12, there is a residential house built in a bright eclectic style hiding modern facilities and security behind its historical facade. The apartment is located on the 2th floor of the courtyard house. This place is one of the most respectable in the city and is included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The beautiful house was built in 1897 according to the design of architect Karl Johann Felsko. Blaumaņa Residence is considered to be one of the best works of the leading architect of the 19th century Karl Felsko, who lived and created his works at the time of change in arts.
The buildings designed by him are notable for their detailed façade elements – cornices, banisters, and volutes made in traditional style. Renovation works are currently ongoing in the house. The renovation process will give the façade bright elements to extend its stylistic range, giving the classic design a modern look.
Engineering networks will be fully replaced, and an optical internet connection will be established in the building. Each apartment will have its own heat counter. “Classic elegance with a modern twist…” – this is how the concept of interior solutions can be characterized.
