We offer a commercial building in the center of Riga, suitable for various business activities.

This building is located on one of the main business streets in Riga, ensuring high pedestrian and transport flow. It is situated opposite the largest hotel in the city, the "Radisson Blu Latvija," adding prestige and appeal to the area. The excellent infrastructure and the historical and financial value of the quarter make this property a hallmark of the capital.

Architecture and Historical Significance:

The design of the building was carried out by the renowned architect Eižens Laube, who has developed over 200 buildings in Riga. He utilized natural materials that have survived to this day, including stained glass windows, oak wall panels, hand-forged elements in the railings, and ceiling decorations, giving the building a unique charm and elegance.

Originally, the building served as the bank for the Mutual Credit Society of Merchants and Craftsmen, with apartments located in the upper floors. The architectural style is expressed in Art Nouveau, and the upper floors of the building's facade are finished with dark plaster, while the lower floors are clad in polished black labradorite.

History:

Constructed in 1912, this building exemplifies the historical significance of the Mutual Credit Society of Merchants and Craftsmen in Riga. Until the early 20th century, there was a wooden building on this site where composer Richard Wagner lived from 1837 to 1839. As the conductor of the Riga City Theatre, he created many of his early operas here. A stained glass window in the building commemorates his presence with his portrait and inscription.

In the 1920s and 1930s, the building housed several restaurants, hair salons, and shops, contributing to the vibrancy and cultural development of the area. During the Soviet occupation, the building was home to the main telegraph office in Riga, and in 2002, the Lattelekom Museum was established there.

Usage Opportunities:

Currently, the spaces on the first and second floors are used as retail areas, while the remaining floors are designated for offices. Considering the architectural features, the upper floors can be reconfigured into hotel rooms or apartments, offering extensive development opportunities.

This building is an ideal investment for those seeking a commercial property with a rich history and development potential in the center of Riga.
