A Building in Old Riga near Dome Square

A 554 m² plot of land and a three-story brick masonry building with a total area of 1,850 m² located in the very heart of Riga – in Old Town, right by Dome Square. Due to its prime location, the residential building constructed in the early 19th century (currently used as an office building) has always been occupied.

The property was built for Riga's burgomaster J. F. T. Germanis (1786–1856). It once housed the musical instrument store of J. H. Zimmermann (1851–1923). Over the years, the building has also been home to the Latvian Commercial Bank, the First Latvian Insurance and Transport Joint-Stock Company, and various cafés.

Just a stone’s throw away from the building, or within a few steps, are restaurants, museums, churches (including Riga Cathedral), and shops.
